here are answers to some common questions.

Where are your holiday homes located?
Our properties are located in Ballito, Shaka’s Rock and Salt Rock on KwaZulu-Natal’s Dolphin Coast. Each property page provides more detail about its location, beach access and nearby attractions, so you can choose the setting that suits your holiday.

We offer a handpicked collection of premium self-catering accommodation, including modern coastal apartments, luxury beachfront homes and Mediterranean-style estate villas. Property sizes, layouts and facilities vary, with options for an intimate couple getaway, or expansive houses for larger family gatherings.

Ballito Homes is personally owned and managed by Heather Bundy, alongside is admin/assistant Karin Wilson-Gyesdahl. They manage your booking from inquiry to checkout to ensure a seamless, warm, and attentive boutique experience.
Our collection is selected with family holidays in mind, and children are welcome. Each home has a different layout and facilities, so please check the individual property details and let us know your children’s ages when enquiring. This helps us guide you towards a suitable stay.
Adult-only bookings must be submitted for approval and cannot be booked instantly. Please share your group details and the purpose of your stay when enquiring. We do not accommodate bachelor(ette) parties, Matric Rage, student groups or similar party bookings.
Send a booking enquiry with your preferred property, travel dates and the number of adults, children and infants in your group. Include any special requests or questions so Heather and Karin can help you plan your stay. Submitting an enquiry does not, on its own, confirm a booking.
We require a minimum of two days’ advance notice before arrival during off-peak months. If you’re planning a stay during a busy holiday period, enquiring earlier gives you more time to find a property that suits your family. We suggest seven days’ advance notice, however, our units fill up fast during these times, so be sure to contact us earlier.
Minimum stays depend on the dates of your booking. For stays between 6 December and 3 January, the usual minimum is seven nights, although shorter stays may be considered closer to the time, depending on availability. Please enquire about your preferred dates.
Yes. We cannot accommodate arrivals or departures on 25, 26 or 31 December, or on 1 January. You can still stay over these dates, provided your arrival and departure fall on permitted days.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in generally starts at 14:00, and check-out is before 10:00. Arrival windows and check-in arrangements vary between properties, so please refer to your chosen home’s details and the instructions provided for your stay.
We love fur-family, unfortunately, we do not currently offer pet-friendly accommodation, and pets are not permitted at our properties.
Cleaning fees apply and vary by property. A breakage deposit of R2 000 applies per booking, and properties within Santorini Estate also carry a resort fee of R150. Please confirm the full cost for your chosen property and dates before finalising your booking.
Facilities vary from one home to another. Some properties offer shared pools, while others have different outdoor facilities or beach-access arrangements. Check the amenities listed on the individual property page rather than assuming that every home offers the same features.
Please check your chosen property’s details before packing. At least some of our homes require guests to bring their own beach or swimming towels, so this is worth confirming before your stay.
Our properties provide convenient access to the North Coast’s best beaches, including Willard Beach, Thompson’s Bay Beach, Granny’s Pool Beach, and Tiffany’s Bay. The area is also highly popular for spotting Indo-Pacific bottlenose dolphins, exploring tidal pools, reef snorkeling, coastal walking trails, and surfing.
Very close! The thriving town center of Ballito—which features an array of restaurants, boutique cafes, local shops, and the Ballito Lifestyle Centre—is located just a few minutes away from any property in our portfolio.
Our homes are intended for relaxed, respectful stays. Pets are not permitted, smoking or vaping is not allowed indoors, and guests must keep noise down between 22:00 and 08:00. Each property may also have its own house or estate rules, which guests should review before booking.
